Politics and Truth
Today on Relentless Truth, John explains how Paul addresses one of the main issues in the church of Philippi; how to resolve conflict.
▼ Show Notes

In this week’s episode, I address politics in the U.S. This is not a subject we typically address, but I think it makes sense to do so in the context of our current environment.

From the health of some members of Congress to the efforts to impeach President Biden to charges of corruption in the President’s family, our nation is in tumultuous waters.

The Impact of the Economy on Politics

I discuss the impact of the economy on our politics in this episode. Our national debt, consumer debt, and corporate debt are impacting our political climate. The risk of a government shutdown is real, layoffs and company closures are beginning, and politicians are divided on the appropriate role of government.

Elections are Won and Lost Based on the Economy

Elections are won and lost based on the economy. We can go back to the Jimmy Carter presidency to see this played out clearly. Reagan proved that the American people vote based on the economy. Economic confidence is beginning to waver, and my hope is that the perspectives in this episode are helpful to you.
