Stewardship
John discusses the Federal Governments financial crisis on Relentless Truth, a Christian Podcast.

Stewardship is perhaps one of the most misunderstood concepts in Christianity today. True Biblical stewardship is antithetical to the American Way. I explain the biblical basis for stewardship and provide some helpful thoughts about the things we steward. God owns it all and we manage it. This reduces anxiety and gives us clarity on the actual value of our resources.

Biblical Stewardship

When we steward assets, we are managing things owned by someone else. Contrary to popular teaching, we aren’t required to steward these things based on the best decisions we can make. Instead, we are required to steward them with the will of the owner in mind. This means that we must know God’s will to effectively execute our stewardship obligations. I discuss how we determine God’s will in this important episode.

In my experience, Pastors often talk about stewardship in terms of giving or tithing. Actual biblical stewardship is so much more than this. We steward our time, talent, vocation, mind, friendships, and every aspect of our lives. We unpack important, helpful thoughts on how to effectively execute our stewardship responsibilities.
